After being admitted for four days to Bhartiya Arogya Nidhi Hospital in Mumbai for age-related illnesses, the renowned actor passed away there.

Asrani had sent a touching Diwali greeting on Instagram just hours before he passed away, serving as a moving reminder of his unwavering love for life and his relationship with his admirers.

He who was born in Jaipur, Rajasthan, acted in over 350 Hindi films during the course of his five-decade career.
